This brief session provides orientation and access to a "National Resource Roadmap for Economic Mobility and Opportunity," a strategic guide on identifying and pursuing funding for local initiatives that address barriers to upward mobility and economic opportunity for residents. The roadmap offers a curated overview of key programs and resources available (as of August 2025) to local governments across a wide range of priority areas (jobs, housing, financial security, community development, etc.), and tips on positioning yourself for success. 

This product includes:

• A 30-minute overview covering how economic mobility and opportunity are distinct from but complementary to traditional economic development, and a brief orientation to navigating and using the roadmap
• Access to the 50+ page "National Resource Roadmap for Economic Mobility and Opportunity," which includes listings for 80+ funding sources across five pillars to help more of your residents thrive (located in the "Additional References" section of the course page in the Learning Lab).
